About us

How Garsol starts

Everything starts in Chiquimulilla, Santa Rosa with the founder, when he puts together: Finca el Porvenir in the middle of 2008. That year the agricultural operation was started.

It begins in May with 25 employees and 18 hectares of land destined for sowing, when they produced melons and watermelons for the local Guatemalan market.

After a while they expanded to a larger market locally and internationally.

The development is started growing with 20% per year.
At the beginning of 2016, the production for exportation began, the new Pulblic Limited Company was formed and finally in 2017 they exported as Garsol S.A to the United States.

Garsol has continued its growth path in food production and currently provides employment to approximately 10,000 people; benefiting this way to many local families.

Purpose

Our purpose as a company is to create jobs and diversify us to have other crops that adapt the condition of the area and that can be taken outside the country and introduce the quality of the Guatemalan product.

Our successful actions

At Garsol we work ethically and responsibly to be able to harvest vegetables, fruits and grains that comply with all the necessary regulations in the sector and some of our actions that stand out are Beekeeping, Irrigation Engineering and Phytosanitary Treatment.

Beekeeping

Beekeeping is essential for production, because without the bees the propagation of the sowing is not possible and for this reason we use environmentally friendly products.

Irrigation Engineering

We have the latest in drip irrigation technology to make an optimal and responsible use of water since we are located in a dry corridor

Phytosanitary Treatment

We comply with all traceability norms and standards in the food industry. Always taking into account the health of the soil and the final consumers.
